Holiday Gift Guide 2019 – Guys and Kids Edition

Happy Holidays 2019! Can you believe that Christmas is less than a month away? Have you started your Christmas shopping yet???

People enjoyed my Holiday Gift Guides last year so I decided to do it again this year. There are products for every price range!

Whether it’s for your co-worker, boyfriend, secret Santa, niece/nephew, I hope this guide will help you find something for the guy or kid in your life.

GUYS

1. Nespresso Machine

I recently got a Nespresso Vertuo machine and I absolutely LOVE it. The coffee it makes is some of the best at home coffee I’ve ever had – and definitely helps the wallet by having coffee at home on demand!

One of the great things about Nespresso is how committed they are to recycling and the environment. Did you know you can send back your used pods to Nespresso for them to be recycled?

2. TRULY skin care

One of my friends recently launched her very own beauty line. I’ve been using the facial cleanser and clear spot treatment daily and it has made a big difference in my skin’s appearance.

3. Saxx Underwear

Christmas is synonymous with new underwear.  Saxx are my go-to!  A 3D hammock-shaped pouch designed to keep everything in place. Thanks to mesh panels and Flat Out Seams™, the BallPark Pouch™ prevents skin-against-skin friction and ensures chafe-free support.  Once you try them you’ll be hooked.

4. Bailey Nelson Sunglasses

Grab a pair of the latest styles from Bailey Nelson. If your guy is like me, he can always use another pair of sunglasses. Going on a holiday to warm destination? Pick up a new pair of shades to rock beachside.

5. Apple AirPods Pro

The latest AirPods from Apple will satisfy the techie on your Christmas list. The new ones have some great new features, but there are also two other versions to pick from if your budget can’t afford the newest!

I use my AirPods on the daily!

6. Knack Bag

Knack bags help you go from work to a weekend getaway with one bag. It’s the One Bag Life. Get a great bag for the office, the plane, or around town!

7. Vancouver Candle Co.

Candles aren’t just for the ladies. Vancouver Candle Co makes premium soy candles in a range of great scents. I like the Discovery collection with the black exterior. All their candles are hand poured in Vancouver!

8. PopSockets

PopSockets make a fun stocking stuffer or easy buy for a secret Santa or co-worker. They come in a variety of patterns and designs, and you can even create your own for that ultimate personal gift!

9. Slick Collar

Say goodbye to sloppy collars with the Slick Collar. This is the perfect gift to help the guy in your life keep looking dapper.

KIDS

1. Vtech SmartWatch

Ever since I got my Apple Watch our kids have been begging for a smart watch. And this year…guess what’s under the tree? A Kidizoom Smartwatch for each of them

It’s got two cameras that allow them to take pictures and videos easily. They can play games and customize the watch face!

2. Pictionary Air

Pictionary Air is a hysterical way to play the classic family drawing game. You draw in the air and you can see it on the screen of your smartphone or tablet. It’s an exciting new take on a classic game. Can’t wait to play with the kids over the Christmas break.

3. Nintendo Switch/Games

Our kids got a Nintendo Switch two years ago for Christmas. They love it! It’s great because you can play it on your TV or portable and on the go. This year my son Ayden really wants the new Zelda: Link’s Awakening game!

4. Books

A great gift for kids is always an age appropriate book for their reading level. Belle and Friends Build a House was written to inspire girls everywhere, it is a children’s book that challenges the status quo. Only 2% of tradespeople in North America are female and Belle aims to change that.

My son is obsessed with the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Series and my daughter loves Dork Diaries. Also, the Guinness World Records 2020 Book is a great one for families or people of all ages.

5. Lego

I love that Lego was always on my Christmas list as a kid and it’s on my son’s list every year too! This year he is loving all things Minecraft Lego! As parents we love that it helps to foster kids creativity.

6. DIY Kits

All my daughter wants for Christmas is DIY Kits. Whether it’s make your own slime, beading, nail art, or bath bombs – if you can craft it, she wants it.

This Make Your Own Bath Bombs kit from Mastermind would make a great gift!

7. Memberships/Experiences

A great option for gifts is to give an annual membership to a local attraction or take your kids on some sort of experience. It’s memories like this that kids remember far longer than more toys! Two great options in the Lower Mainland/Vancouver, BC area are Science World and the Greater Vancouver Zoo!

8. Getaway

Going along with the last suggestion, taking your kids on a getaway is a great gift option at Christmas. It allows you to make great family memories. It doesn’t have to be big and extravagant like a resort in Mexico or a cruise (but it can be)…it can be a staycation at a local hotel or a cabin rental like we had at Rowena’s out in Harrison.
