Monday’s don’t always get a good rap.
They signal that the weekend is over and for some that means the monotony of the work week has begun.
I personally love Mondays – they are like a blank page, a fresh start to a brand new week. Mondays are filled with potential and I find set the tone for my entire week.
For me, one of the keys for Monday is to have something to look forward to during the day. Maybe it’s a lunch meeting with a friend or drinks in the evening; whatever it is, having something to look forward to makes it a lot easier to get up on Monday morning.
Today I’m looking forward to this look, that I’m calling 50 Shades of Blue! If you don’t know by now, blue is my favourite and go to colour.
Read below about this look:
BUILD THIS LOOK:
It started with a t-shirt. I found this blue floral t-shirt last summer at Old Navy. This shirt works great with some shorts in the summer time for a more casual look, but throw a blazer on top (like the one I am wearing from VanHeusen that I scored on clearance from Kohl’s) and you’ve got a more elevated, dapper look.
Levi’s denim are my go to and work perfectly with this spring look. Brown shoes always pair great with blues and these brown Apt. 9 shoes from Kohl’s round out the look.
This Coach bag not only works so well with the blue look, but also is the perfect size. I am not a fan of overly big bags and generally gravitate towards a bag that holds just what I need it to. This bag fits my MacBook and a few other things perfectly.
Check out some more pictures and find out about the accessories used to compete the look.
Accessories to round out the look:
- Watch: Two-7
- Bracelet: Bomber Supply & Co.
- Lapel pin: Ties.com
- Sunglasses: Kenneth Cole
- Pocket square: SprezzaBox
